Artist Profile
Infusion Art Creations is a small but dynamic business specialising in the design and manufacture of hand-made jewellery and glassware items for decorative and practical use. The business was conceived in Chile, South America in 2002.
“I was introduced to warm glass as an artistic endeavour, through the teachings of a Chilean glass and ceramic artisan, called Fanny Grubner. I remember watching my first kiln firing, and seeing the cut pieces of glass become a slow ooze of molten liquid, that once cooled became this delightfully unexpected unique object of captured coloured light. After that moment, fusing glass became a magical journey of creation and fun.
After relocating back to Brisbane, Australia I had a strong desire to learn the craft of jewellery making. I had already been creating Sterling Silver wire-wrapped glass jewellery in Chile, but wanted to take the techniques to a more sophisticated level. This brought me to the Goldsmith School in Toowong, Queensland to further my education in Silver Smithing.
My designs draw on experiences of living and travelling in remote and unusual places within Australia and South America. The complexities of cultures, and the beauty in the colours of the scenes of transition throughout my travels, have been the basis for my inspiration. My designs reflect the wonderful journey of change and artistic evolution that constantly invigorate and stimulate me.”
Toni-M’s work is an ever increasing freeform collection of works. The Jewellery comprises of high impact fashion pieces for that extra exhibitionist in all of us through to the more everyday wearable pieces. Glassware pieces are luminous, original, gallery quality works designed to engage the viewer. The end result is a combination of expression through life experiences and the creation of a unique style of products, which ultimately allow her customers to express their own personal sense of style that celebrates the test of time.
